With its protected coves and waterways, Bainbridge Island is an ideal location for kayaking, rowing and scuba diving. There are two suppliers of equipment and supplies - one on the Island and one in nearby Poulsbo.

Exotic Aquatics specializes in family programs and custom classes to fit any lifestyle. Not only do they sell new and pre-owned equipment but also provide rental equipment. A great way to be introduced to the Island's waters is with one of their guided kayak or scuba excursions

Only a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal to downtown Poulsbo, there is Olympic Outdoor Center. Here you will find rentals as well as new/used equipment. Classes for all ages run throughout the summer with special 'camps' during the summer season for children as young as seven to young adults.


Bainbridge Island Rowing Club

Bainbridge Island Rowing Club is a community-based, non-profit organization founded in 2001. A recreational and competitive rowing club, its purpose is to promote all facets of the sport of rowing. BIRC activities take place at Waterfront Park on Bainbridge Island and throughout the greater Puget Sound area. Membership is open to anyone interested in actively participating or in simply supporting crew on Bainbridge.
