Tennis There are several public locations to practice your backhand stroke or play a game of tennis with friends. These locations are all within the Bainbridge Island Parks facilities. Should you wish for indoor tennis, check out the Bainbridge Athletic Club in Meadowmeer.
Eagle Harbor Waterfront Park Waterfront Park is open for day use only located at Eagle Harbor, Brien Drive (across from the Bainbridge Commons). Waterfront Park is one of the most important civic and social gathering places for Island residents and visitors alike. It welcomes annual festivals, summer performances, special events, picnics, music performances and more. The park provides sunny lawn areas for play and relaxation and easy access to the water's edge for boating and tranquil views of the water environment. Plus, the 5.5-acre park also supports a tennis court, sports court and children's play park.
Eagledale Park The park totals 6.7 acres, is a former Nike site, and has a pottery studio and pottery workshop, a caretaker's trailer, a tennis court, play structure, covered picnic area, a sports court, and a sand volleyball court.
Battle Point Park The park totals 90.3 acres, is a former naval radio station, is largely open space with two ponds, jogging trail, fitness course, soccer fields, softball fields, horse area, a picnic shelter, two tennis courts, sand volleyball court, play areas, two basketball courts shared with a roller hockey court, a fabulous children's play structure, garden plots, the Park District maintenance shop, and a caretaker's house.
The Bainbridge Athletic Club - Membership The tennis program features six USPTA Certified Tennis Professionals. Lessons and programs for all ages and every level of player are offered. Fun is emphasized in every program from social events to competitive teams. We help you learn, improve and enjoy the game of tennis. |
